Urban Centre Management
My name is Carol Butler, and I’m the Urban Centre Manager for Boscombe and Springbourne, working with Traders to improve trading opportunities, enhance the area, and improve footfall.
My main focus is:-
- The economic regeneration of Boscombe and Springbourne
- Improving the environment – shop fronts, cleaner streets etc.,
- Boscombe Area Businesses Against Crime – working with traders to reduce crime
- To develop new activities on Boscombe Precinct – markets, events, competitions and the Boscombe Christmas Carnival
- Boscombe in Bloom – creating a more attractive environment
The economic regeneration of Boscombe and Springbourne
- To provide support to existing businesses and to attract new businesses to the area
- Working with Boscombe Traders Association and to promote increased membership (A attach link to Boscombe Traders info)

- To maximise the benefits of the Seafront regeneration
- To develop transport links between the seafront and the centre of Boscombe
Improving the environment
- To improve the general physical appearance of the area
- Encourage landlords to improve the look of empty shop units
Boscombe Area Businesses Against Crime
- Working with the police and retailers to reduce retail crime and anti-social behaviour
To develop new activities on Boscombe Precinct
- To encourage additional activities, events and Markets on Boscombe Precinct
