Older People's Club launches in Boscombe
A new social club for older people is being launched in Boscombe by leading care charity, Brendoncare. Each Monday afternoon the club will offer fun and friendship with a varied programme of activities, outings and stimulating speakers.
Anyone who is interested in joining this new club as a member or a volunteer is invited to come along to a Welcome Meeting at 2pm Monday 8th September at St Georges Methodist Church, Boscombe.
Branch Manager of Brendoncare Club Dorset, Tony Hanson, said: “We have been delighted with the response from the people of Dorset to our first seven clubs, which already have around 140 members. Our clubs are devoted to giving older people the opportunity to meet new friends, be entertained by a variety of speakers and entertainers, and enjoy club outings.
Our aim is to help older people maintain their independence, feel more fulfilled, improve their quality of life and have fun!”
If you would like more information about the meeting or Brendoncare Clubs in general, please telephone Tony Hanson or Janet Cary on 01202 893703. If you would like to attend the meeting and need help with free transport, Brendoncare will be happy to arrange this for you. Brendoncare Clubs already runs 57 successful clubs, benefiting over 1,300 members in Hampshire and Dorset.
