Unity in Vision

 

The revamp of the orienteering course in Kings Park has now been completed and officially opened by the Neighbourhood Management Chair Lisa Northover on Saturday 16th September 2008. Free Wireless Internet

Wireless internet is free in Boscombe precinct area, this facility is powered through the touch screen information kiosks located at the junction of sea road, and outside Boscanova Cafe. The wireless connection is called "Streetnet" - just click to log on! The wireless cloud covers most of the pedestrianised area, and works in many of the cafes!

Cultural & Diversity

Our very own Sovereign Centre was decorated the weekend of the 28th February with Chinese Lanterns. Bournemouth Chinese School took their skills and culture out into the community and helped children make Lanterns with their Chinese Workshop in Boscombe.

 

 

International Women’s Day

The 2008 International Women’s Day (IWD) was celebrated the world over on Saturday, March 8. Over 400 people of diverse cultures, ages, and backgrounds converged at AFC Bournemouth, Kings Park in Boscombe to mark the occasion. The four-hour packed programme included presentations, displays, exhibitions and cultural performances.

River Wide Project

Two schools working together through drama, music and art to bring culture to Avonbourne and Portchester schools.

 

 

Dorset Art Weeks

Saw an array of art, performances, show cases and visual art during the weeks of 24th May to 8th June and for the first time, a new hub called BAC-CHUS presented an improved Boscombe Spa Arts Trail this year. The two week event saw schools, community groups and individuals all working together to show off talent within the community and prove that Boscombe was up there with the rest.
