Outcome area - Mainstreaming
Our focus for year 4 onwards is the sustainability of the initiatives identified, and sometimes funded by NM, and the succession plan for when the NRU funding is complete in 2009. Although we have had many successes to date there is still a lot of work to do to ensure that the work done during the time of Neighbourhood Management is continued long after the
year 2009.

Our significant achievements to date include:

• The adoption by the Borough of a Private Sector Housing Renewal Strategy that clearly recognises the needs of the NM area and reflects these needs in its priorities and resource allocation.
• The implementation of a one way scheme around Churchill Gardens with the Borough consulting on options and contributing 50% of the funds for the scheme.
• The running of the NM funded Mobile Sports trailer by Leisure Services department as an integral part of their local service.
• The adoption by Cleansing and Waste of elements of the NM Safe and Clean scheme in another part of the Borough and the part funded continuing service within the NM area.
• The mainstreaming of the Nurture Group and the commitment to sustain other initiatives funded by NM such as the Home School Support Worker and the Street Wardens.
• The agreement to part fund a Town Centre Manager for Boscombe Town Centre.
• The creation of the Employment Outreach Worker post, which is jointly funded by NM, SRB and JobCentre Plus.
• Aiding in providing the already sustained Hot School Meals program for Kings Park Primary School for which the take up of free school meals at Kings Park Primary has risen from 75 to 111 since the hot school meals started and is continuing to rise, with 98% of parents stating that their child/children have benefited from having a cooked meal at school
